Freedom is accompanied by responsibility.
Always so.
Free for us to use the road,
Obliges us to respect other road users.
Respect for others,
Means respecting yourself,
Vice versa.
There is no freedom without responsibilities.
Being responsible means being freedom.
Choosing to take responsibility is freedom itself,
Free to choose responsible or run away from responsibility.
Are we free to abandon ourselves?
There is no freedom if it is based on the foolishness
Or maybe an oversight.
We are not choosing, when we give our freedom to be a slave.
True, we are free to be free,
But we are not free to drink water limitless until our stomach pain because
of it.
We are free to buy any kind of water resources with our money,
But we do not have the freedom to snatch other people's rights over fresh
water resources which is limited.
Choosing to be responsible,
At the same time we got a new freedom.
Realizing this,
There is no longer being greedy,
Or laments.
Choose to be free remain silent,
Having its own consequences.
Choosing to move freely,
Also has its own consequences.
Free, not a means to escape the consequences.
We are not free to snatch the rights and freedoms of others.
We never really free to do mischief.
We do not even free to escape from prosecution for criminal acts that we
do.
Conversely, we do not really have a burden when we're choosing to be
responsible.
Responsibility created rights.
A worker is entitled to wages.
A servant is entitled to dignity.
An upholder of justice are entitled to heaven.
An honest entitled to respect for himself.
When we choose a responsible,
So we did not really lose freedom.
The greater our freedom became,
The more options for us to choose from.
It would be really happy for those who can choose,
People which is have many options to choose from,
And those which is were able to choose wisely.
Freedom means being able to choose intelligently.
Sometimes, we need to pay for expensive freedom,
A kind of freedom which is a luxury,
Like staying in a five star hotel,
Luxury vehicles,
Or the like.
But everyone has freedom as the most essential,
His own freedom,
Which will not be taken away by anyone,
Even his body restrained,
shackled,
Imprisoned.
Namely, freedom from our own minds.
Freedom to own aspirations and hopes of our own.
The freedom to open up opportunities for self free.
Freedom to give up or continue to carry on the struggle.
We never really responsible,
And at the same time,
We never really free at large.
He two poles in the same coin.
Antinomy.
Stepping on the accelerator pedal,
At the same time we have a duty brake pedal deceleration when the time
required for it.
How peacefulness this earthly life,
When each of the inhabitants know their rights and duties respectively.
Responsibility means simply freedom that is being delayed,

Kebebasan berarti disertai
tanggung jawab.
Selalu demikian adanya.
Bebas bagi kita untuk
menggunakan jalan,
Mewajibkan kita untuk menghormati
pengguna jalan lain.
Menghormati orang lain,
Berarti menghormati diri
sendiri,
Begitu pula sebaliknya.
Tiada kebebasan tanpa
tanggung jawab.
Bersikap bertanggung jawab
berarti memperoleh kebebasan.
Memilih untuk bertanggung
jawab adalah kebebasan itu sendiri,
Bebas untuk memilih
bertanggung jawab atau lari dari tanggung jawab.
Apakah kita bebas untuk
menelantarkan diri kita sendiri?
Tiada kebebasan bila hal
tersebut dilandasi oleh suatu kebodohan,
Atau mungkin sebuah
kekhilafan.
Kita tidak sedang memilih ketika
kita menyerahkan kebebasan kita, dengan menjadi seorang budak.
Benar, kita bebas untuk
bebas,
Namun kita tidak bebas untuk
meminum air tanpa batas hingga perut kita mengalami sakit karenanya.
Kita bebas membeli segala
sumber daya air dengan uang kita,
Namun kita tidak memiliki
kebebasan untuk merenggut hak orang lain atas sumber air bersih yang terbatas.
Memilih untuk bertanggung
jawab,
Disaat bersamaan mendapat
kebebasan baru.
Menyadari hal tersebut,
Tiada lagi sikap tamak,
Ataupun berkeluh-kesah.
Memilih untuk bebas berdiam
diri,
Memiliki konsekuensinya
sendiri.
Memilih untuk bebas bergerak,
Pun memiliki konsekuensinya
sendiri.
Bebas, bukan berarti lepas
dari konsekuensi.
Kita tak bebas untuk
merenggut hak dan kebebasan orang lain.
Kita tak pernah benar-benar bebas
untuk berbuat onar.
Kita bahkan tak bebas untuk
lepas dari tuntutan hukum atas perbuatan kriminal yang kita lakukan.
Sebaliknya, kita tak benar-benar
memiliki beban ketika kita sedang memilih untuk bertanggung jawab.
Setiap tanggung jawab selalu
melahirkan hak.
Seorang buruh berhak atas
upah.
Seorang pengabdi berhak atas
harga diri.
Seorang penegak keadilan
berhak atas surga.
Seorang jujur berhak atas
rasa hormat atas dirinya sendiri.
Ketika kita memilih
bertanggung jawab,
Maka kita tidak benar-benar kehilangan
kebebasan.
Kebebasan kita justru semakin
besar,
Semakin banyak pilihan untuk dapat
kita pilih.
Alangkah sungguh
berbahagianya orang yang mampu memilih,
Orang-orang yang memiliki
banyak pilihan untuk dipilih,
Dan orang-orang yang mampu
memilih secara arif bijaksana.
Kebebasan artinya mampu
memilih secara cerdas.
Terkadang, kita perlu membayar
mahal sebuah kebebasan,
Semacam kebebasan yang mewah,
Seperti menginap pada hotel
bintang lima,
Mobil mewah,
Atau sejenisnya.
Namun setiap orang memiliki
kebebasan yang paling hakiki,
Kebebasan miliknya sendiri,
Yang takkan dapat direnggut
oleh siapapun,
Sekalipun tubuhnya
dikerangkeng,
Dipasung,
Dipenjarakan.
Yakni, kebebasan atas pikiran
kita sendiri.
Kebebasan untuk memiliki cita-cita
dan harapan milik kita sendiri.
Kebebasan untuk membuka
peluang bebas bagi diri.
Kebebasan untuk menyerah atau
terus melanjutkan perjuangan.
Kita tak pernah benar-benar bertanggung
jawab,
Dan disaat bersamaan,
Kita tak pernah benar-benar bebas
sebebasnya.
Ia dua kutup pada satu keping
logam yang sama.
Antinomi.
Menginjak pedal gas
akselerasi,
Disaat bersamaan kita punya
kewajiban menginjak pedal rem deselerasi bila waktunya mengharuskan untuk itu.
Alangkah damainya kehidupan
di dunia ini,
Bila masing-masing dari para
penghuninya mengetahui hak dan kewajiban mereka masing-masing.
Tanggung jawab artinya
hanyalah kebebasan yang sedang tertunda,
Atau, kebebasan yang sedang
ditanam.
