Bila generasi muda pada masa ini,
Tidak lagi menaruh hormat kepada generasi tua.
Melihat berbagai warisan berupa kerusakan alam,
Berbagai tragedi kemanusiaan,
Perilaku koruptif yang dipertontonkan kepada para generasi muda,
Berbagai skandal yang hanya menampilkan wajah ketamakan dan kemunafikan,
Membuat para generasi muda menjadi muak dan jijik terhadap perilaku vulgar para generasi tua.
Generasi tua,
Terlampau egois terhadap generasi muda.
Justru adalah sebaliknya,
Generasi tua yang harus menaruh hormat pada generasi muda,
Karena generasi muda yang kini harus membersihkan sampah para generasi tua,
Menghadapi kerusakan yang ditimbulkan para generasi tua,
Memperbaiki kerusakan mental sosial yang bagaikan virus pikiran mematikan.
Bukankah saling menghormati,
Adalah tetap pilihan yang terbaik?
Bukankah bila generasi tua yang terlebih dahulu menghormati generasi muda dengan menyediakan lingkungan hidup yang baik,
Adalah jauh lebih layak dan berharga?
Kita tidak pernah tahu,
Apakah para generasi tua tersebut,
Selama masih mudanya,
Banyak berbuat baik ataukah mungkin saja banyak berbuat kejahatan.
Untuk apa kita menghormat generasi tua yang telah banyak berbuat jahat sepanjang hidupnya.
Perihal umur,
Generasi tua maupun generasi muda,
Tidaklah penting dan tidak memiliki relevansi.
Manusia ditentukan oleh kontribusi positifnya bagi dunia,
Barulah dunia akan menghormati sosok dirinya.
Sesederhana itu saja.
Ikatan batin manusia bukan berdasar struktur umur,
Tua ataupun muda,
Namun dari segi moralitas, kebaikan hati, kemurnian batin, dan kejujuran.
